Knot Normal - The Adventure

We are revisiting St. Lucia and St. Vincent.  We had a great sail to each with near hull speed on both legs.  We caught one dolphin which we had for dinner and also a fish soup. We are at Bas de Fort Marina in Guadeloupe. David Finn just joined us.  We had a lovely dinner at one of the many French restaurants along the marina, followed to a butter/sugar/citron crepe, then back to the Knot Normal where a really good jazz band was preforming right in front of us.

Hi this is the new crew member David Fynn happy to be here with Barry, Mary Anne and Rocky and excited to join this section of Barry's Big Adventure.  Arrived yesterday on Air France - it is so good to fly again with an airline that treats you as a human being and even feeds you with wine at no additional charge!  Today we are off to Iles Des Saintes which should take about 3-3 1/2 hours. We are a set of beautiful islands which are south of the main body of Guadeloupe.  The islands and Guadeloupe are considered a French State which is kind of neat in that France won the World Cup while we were in France! Pain de Sucre, a small piton with an unusual vertical strata.  It is at the entrance to Les Sainte harbor.

Barry, Rocky and Kat We sailed from Antigua to Guadeloupe and dragged fishing lines on the way.  We caught two 26" bailer dolphins, one   42" gaffer dolphin and a 36" wahoo. We ended up in a sleepy fishing village called Port Louis and spent the night.  Then we had a downwind run with the genakar.  We were flying.  Tonight we are Deshaies, a cool little French village in Guadeloupe that we have stayed at before.
