Triumph and Defeat

Image
Triumph - At long last we got our Genakar rigging all straight after months of problems.  We raised the sail and we were ecstatic.  We sailed with smiles on our faces and took lots of photos.  Then we were hit with a squall and could not get the sail down fast enough.  It was torn to shreds -  Defeat.

After leaving St. Martin on an overnight sail we arrived in the BVIs.  Our first anchorage was at the Baths, an area of huge granite boulders.  They formed caves with pools underneath and other unworldly formations. Emily and Matt The Skull Worms in the Skull The beach at the Baths Emily

We are in St. Barts having beers and lunch.  We have a vivacious waitress and great food.  St. Barts in sophisticated French.  Sort of a Rodeo Drive but Caribbean.  Some weather coming in so we are looking for a sheltered port in St. Martin.
